Big Jim’s Sod is a Central Florida based company, with experience in the sod industry since 1996. Big Jim’s Sod started out as a Bahia harvesting company, and later progressed through the years into growing our own grass. Big Jim’s Sod has now grown to have over 470 acres of St. Augustine Floratam and Seville, along with over 5000 acres of farm raised Bahia, making Big Jim’s Sod one of the largest sod growers in Central Florida. With Big Jim’s Sod, you can expect only the highest quality sod, delivery, and installation. We strive to keep our customers happy, making them our top priority.

BAHIA
Bahia sod is valued for outstanding drought and heat tolerance and an ability to thrive where many lawn grasses falter.
ST. AUGUSTINE FLORATAM
St. Augustine Floratam grass was released by the Florida and Texas Agricultural Experiment Stations in 1972 as a SAD virus and chinch bug resistant selection.
ST. AUGUSTINE SEVILLE
St. Augustine Seville is considered a dwarf cultivar that is a much finer textured grass than Floratam. Seville is blue-green in color with excellent color retention.
